Pump water with sunshine, not diesel.
Diesel rose to EGP 20.50 a litre in March 2026, the third increase in under a year. A solar pumping system turns that fuel bill into a one-time investment that pays back within a few seasons.

Built for your region
Upper Egypt
Minya to Aswan and the New Valley. Strong sun for long hours and deep wells: we size submersible pumps and arrays for high heads and long running times.
Wadi El Natrun
Desert farms on groundwater wells along the Cairo-Alex desert road. Solar pumping for drip and pivot irrigation, plus power for packhouses and cold rooms.
Alamein and the North Coast
New reclamation land and farms near the coast. Designs that handle wind, salt and sand, and grow with the farm as you add land.
What we build
- Solar pumping for submersible and surface pumps, with variable-speed drives
- Water tanks sized so you store water instead of buying expensive batteries
- Hybrid systems that keep your generator as backup
- Solar for cold rooms, packhouses and farm housing
Example: one 40 hp well pump, 8 hours a day
- Diesel used now
- about 21,500 litres a year
- Fuel and maintenance
- about EGP 484,000 a year
- Solar array
- about 42 kWp
- Indicative price
- about EGP 830,000
- Payback
- about 1.7 years
Assumes 300 operating days, 0.3 litres of diesel per kWh and maintenance at 15% of the fuel bill. Try your own numbers in the calculator.
How we size a solar pumping system
- Daily water need, set by the crop, the area and the irrigation method
- Total pumping head: the water level in the well, the tank height and pipe losses
- The flow rate needed during the sun hours, and how much water to store in a tank
- Pump type and the condition of the well, checked at the site survey
FAQ
Does it work at night?
Solar pumps run in daylight. We size the array and a storage tank so you pump enough water during the day for your irrigation schedule.
What about dust and sand?
Panels produce less when dusty. We set a cleaning plan for your site and can include it in an O&M contract.
Can I keep my generator?
Yes. Many farms keep the generator as backup for cloudy days or night irrigation, and a hybrid controller switches between them.
Can it be financed?
Egyptian banks, including programmes backed by IFC, have offered finance for solar irrigation. We prepare the technical file your bank asks for.
