Lower bills for buildings that never really close.

Hospitals, hotels and schools pay for cooling, lighting, refrigeration and hot water all day. Solar on the roof and car park covers part of that load, and batteries cover the loads that cannot stop. We treat these sites like industrial ones, with the same engineering standards and pricing basis.

Healthcare

Hospitals and clinics

Round-the-clock load, with generators already on site.

  • Battery and generator integration designed with your facilities team
  • Roof and car park capacity checked before design
  • Critical circuits kept separate and protected

Industry example: Shefaa Al Orman Cancer Hospitals in Luxor run about 1.3 MW of solar, installed in four phases from December 2022 to early 2025. Not a Reservia project.

Hospitality

Hotels and resorts

Cooling, kitchens, laundry and pools run through the sun hours.

  • Roofs, car parks and shade structures
  • Hot water and cooling matched to solar hours
  • Work scheduled away from guest areas

Industry example: TAQA Arabia's 20 MWp plant in Sharm El-Sheikh, commissioned in October 2022, is expected to supply about 30% of the Nabq area's load and clean power for around 6,000 hotel rooms. Utility scale, not a single hotel, and not a Reservia project.

Education

Schools and universities

Daytime load and large roofs, with a quieter summer break.

  • System sized for the school year, then checked against the break
  • Roof survey before any design
  • Installation planned for holidays and weekends

Industry example: Cairo University commissioned a 660 kW solar station for 13 campus buildings, built in three months. Not a Reservia project.

Commercial and public

Malls, offices and clubs

Big roofs and car parks with strong daytime demand.

  • Car park canopies that also give shade
  • Peak load reduced with battery storage where it pays
  • Energy data for sustainability reporting

Industry example: five museums and visitor centres in Cairo, Giza, Sharm El-Sheikh and Alexandria run 325 kW of solar combined, about 520 MWh a year. Not a Reservia project.

Hospitals, hotels and schools are not a separate category in the EgyptERA tariff from April 2026. Depending on the connection, they pay the commercial tiers (up to EGP 2.79 per kWh) or the 'other users' rate for their voltage (EGP 2.55 at medium voltage, 2.74 at low voltage). The calculator uses EGP 2.55, the lower end of that range, so its estimate leans cautious. Your site survey replaces it with your real tariff. A hospital that must keep power during an outage needs a battery or hybrid design, because panels on a standard grid-tied inverter switch off when the grid does.

How we work in occupied buildings

Roof and structure survey before design

Installation planned around opening hours, wards and guest areas

Shutdowns and connection dates agreed in writing with your facilities team

Commissioning to IEC 62446, documents handed over, O&M response times in writing

FAQ

Which tariff does the estimate use for my building?

Hospitals, hotels and schools are not a separate EgyptERA tariff category. Depending on the connection, a building pays the commercial tiers (up to EGP 2.79 per kWh) or the other-users rate for its voltage (EGP 2.55 at medium voltage, 2.74 at low voltage). Our estimate assumes EGP 2.55, the lower end, so it leans cautious. We replace it with the tariff on your actual bill at the site survey.

Will solar keep critical loads running during a power cut?

Not on its own. Panels on a standard grid-tied inverter switch off when the grid fails. Critical loads need a battery or a hybrid design integrated with your generators, which we design with your facilities team.
